Intelligently developing Web sites with Web standards is what Jared Design is all about. My background in both design and development means your Web site will work as well on the back end as it looks on the front end. I specialize in clean CSS, semantic HTML, and Flash ActionScript. Whether you’re looking for a simple HTML brochure site or a full-featured Flash application, I can develop a solution that will work for you.
I really enjoyed helping Anderson Erickson Dairy, a local brand that I use on a daily bases, with the redesign of their website. We provided the client with the tools they needed to manage and update their content in order to keep the site as relevant as possible.
Kimberly Dozier contacted me to create a web site for her book Breathing the Fire. Kimberly is know as a CBS foreign correspondent who has covered Iraq and the Middle East extensively.
A local home builder and remodeling company needed a solution that would help them stand out from the competition by showcasing their excellent work and communicating their points of difference. We created a site with elements that feel realistic and set the tone for this fine company. I'm really happy with how this project turned out, and more importantly, so is the client.
A great way to gain the type of reputation you want for your company is with a sharp looking and easy to navigate website. Even before New Hope's doors opened for business this website was created so customers would be well informed.
Associations Inc. hired me to redesign there website and logo. They liked the logo so much they also had me print business cards and letterhead. You can see there previous site here.
Iowa Foundation For Medical Care (IFMC) contracted me to work on the relaunch of QualityNet.org. They needed a 508 compliant solution that is easy to maintain and simple to integrate into an already existing infrastructure.
Using Web Standards, I created a 508 compliant solution that will be launching later this year.
BHG.com needed a fun, interactive way for their users to create stencils for carving Halloween pumpkins. Using Flash, I developed a tool that allows users to create a wide variety of faces, prompting them to generate page views. Be sure to try the random button.
I have a wide variety of skills and experience using them in many different projects. I can help you out whether it is consulting for an existing site or creating an entirely new Web presence. Be sure to ask if you don’t see something on this list that you’re looking for.
Jared Christensen left Corporate America in 2007 to nurture his on-the-side Web design and development work into a full-blown, full-time gig. The result is Jared Design, the name under which Jared slices and dices design elements into clean semantic markup. (All in between games of racquetball and catching up on King of Queens reruns, of course.)
Jared started his career solely in graphic and Web design, but quickly moved into front-end Web development, honing his programming skills and conquering Flash while working for Better Homes and Gardens’ Web site, BHG.com. From there, he put his passion for Web standards to good use as the Lead Front End Developer at the Iowa Foundation for Medical Care.
Now, Jared splits his time between designing, developing, and consulting for people just like you who want a smart, appealing, useful Web site without all the trouble of doing it yourself.
