Intelligently developing Web sites with Web standards is what Jared Design is all about. My background in both design and development means your Web site will work as well on the back end as it looks on the front end. I specialize in clean CSS, semantic 508 compliant HTML, and Flash ActionScript. Whether you’re looking for a simple HTML brochure site or a full-featured Flash application, I can develop a solution that will work for you.
A local home builder needed a solution that would help them stand out from the competition. Working in collaborating with Alley Design Solutions, Inc. we came up with a realistic feeling site. I'm really happy how this project turned out.

BHG.com needed a fun, interactive way for their users to create stencils for carving Halloween pumpkins. Using Flash, I developed a tool that allows users to create a wide variety of faces, prompting them to generate page views. Be sure to try the random button.

Jared Christensen left Corporate America in 2007 to nurture his on-the-side Web design and development work into a full-blown, full-time gig. The result is Jared Design, the name under which Jared slices and dices design elements into clean semantic markup. (All in between games of racquetball and catching up on King of Queens reruns, of course.)
Jared started his career solely in graphic and Web design, but quickly moved into front-end Web development, honing his programming skills and conquering Flash while working for Better Homes and Gardens’ Web site, BHG.com. From there, he put his passion for Web standards to good use as the Lead Front End Developer at the Iowa Foundation for Medical Care.
Now, Jared splits his time between designing, developing, and consulting for people just like you who want a smart, appealing, useful Web site without all the trouble of doing it yourself.
